Privacy Policy — Child Voice

Last updated: March 25, 2026

The short version: Child Voice stores everything — your child's name, birthday, and voice recordings — in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your data whatsoever. Only you can see it.

Overview

Child Voice is a personal journaling app for capturing how your child learns to speak over time. All data you enter and all recordings you make are stored in your own private iCloud account and synced across your devices. We never have access to your data — not even in aggregate or anonymized form.

Information We Collect

We collect no information. Specifically:

How Your Data Is Stored

All data — including child profiles, word lists, and audio recordings — is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This means:

Apple's privacy practices govern how iCloud data is stored and protected. You can review Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/privacy.

Microphone Access

Child Voice requests access to your device's microphone solely to record audio clips within the app. Microphone access is used only while you are actively holding the record button. Recordings are saved to your private iCloud storage and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

Children's Privacy

Child Voice is designed for use by parents and caregivers. The app does not collect any personal information from children or anyone else. No data is ever transmitted to us or any external party outside of your own iCloud account.

Data Deletion

You can delete any recording or child profile at any time from within the app. To remove all data associated with the app from iCloud, delete your data within the app before uninstalling, or manage your iCloud storage directly in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
